We’re Back!

It’s been a long and ridiculous but mostly awesome journey from North Carolina to sunny Los Angeles.  And let us just say: we love In-N-Out, even despite the fact it’s not quite Cookout and it doesn’t carry Bojangles biscuits.

We started this blog with the intention of filling some spare time before we packed our bags for our ambitious relocation.  We ended up forming quite the attachment though, and even as we were flying, moving, sitting in traffic, unpacking, exploring, sitting in more traffic and settling in, The Switchboard was always on our minds.

We hiked waterfalls in Malibu and watched movies in the LA Historic State Park.  We accidentally crashed a hotel penthouse party and stuck our toes in the Pacific Ocean.  We saw the best side of the city from high atop Griffith Observatory, discovered Red Vines, cheered on the Dodgers, survived a few earth quakes and held our own quite well in the Beverly Hills brunch wars.  It’s been a busy couple of months – so busy in fact, that we decided we couldn’t go any longer without sharing our new favorite things with you.

We don’t want to spoil any surprises, but we have some pretty cool content on the calendar.  For one, we want to take a deep dive into culture and bring you more art, music and style than ever before.  But we’ve also learned a lot from this terrific and sometimes terrifying upheaval and we want to put the big things we’ve been thinking about on the table so that you can join the conversation.

So once again, we invite you to Plug In.  We’re glad to be back.
